Ingredients
  

For the Bread:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the Glaze (Optional):

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
  • In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and egg until well combined. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just incorporated.
  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
  • Pour half of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter. Add the remaining batter, then top with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture. Swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  • For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled bread if desired.
