Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed (or 2 cans, drained)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1 ½ cups crispy fried onions

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare the Green Beans:
    If using fresh green beans, blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then drain.
  • Make the Sauce:
    In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
  • Assemble the Casserole:
    Add the green beans to the sauce and mix well. If using cheddar cheese, stir it in.
    Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake:
    Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
  • Add the Crispy Topping:
    Sprinkle the crispy fried onions over the top and bake for another 5 minutes until golden and crunchy.
