Ingredients
  

  • 200 grams Havarti cheese (sliced or shredded)
  • 1 baguette (or bread of choice)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove (crushed)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • A few leaves of arugula or spinach (optional)
  • 1 tablespoons balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • Optional: a few slices of tomatoes or ham for extra flavor

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Slice the baguette into 2 cm thick slices.
  • Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and brush each slice with olive oil.
  • Toast the bread in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until lightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and rub each slice with the crushed garlic clove for added flavor.
  • Place a slice of Havarti cheese on each toasted bread slice.
  • Return to the oven for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
  • Add a few arugula or spinach leaves on top for a fresh touch.
  • Optionally, drizzle with balsamic vinegar for a sweet and tangy finish.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy while warm.
